Mechanic fined for weed possession

By BBN Staff: A mechanic from Mile 8 on the George Price Highway was charged for marijuana possession and fined in court on Monday after he was arrested last Friday following a near-collision with a police mobile on Faber’s Road.

Kenrick Robinson, 27, appeared in court where he was jointly charged with another man on a single count of possession of a controlled drug for 35 grams of marijuana. Robinson, however, pleaded guilty to the charge and let his friend of the hook, who he claimed had nothing to do with the marijuana in question.

The arrest was made after Robinson and his friend reportedly almost collided with a police vehicle on Faber’s Road on June 3. The men were arrested and the vehicle was impounded.

Robinson was fined $700 plus $5 cost of court which he must pay by September 30, in default 7 months in prison.
