Georgeville Village in Cayo receives new water pump and motor

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Sunday, July 17th, 2022, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government, Valentino Shal, and Charles Galvez, Coordinator for Rural Water and Supply Unit met with the Chairman of the Georgeville Water Board and the Chairman of the Georgeville Village Council to hand over a new water pump and motor.

The village water system was non-functional for 4 days due to a pump failure. As a result, the Ministry was delivering water to the residents.

The Ministry noted that today, the well-rig team, with assistance from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Development, and Housing and the Georgeville Water Board, will install the new pump and motor, and water will be restored to the residents.
