By Aaron Humes: Bowen and Bowen Limited, whose primary distribution truck was involved in a three-way traffic accident near Rhaburn Ridge on the Philip Goldson Highway, has issued a statement indicating that no one was killed in the accident.
Bowen and Bowen reported that “at approximately 5:53 AM this morning, one of our Primary Distribution Trucks was involved in a road traffic accident near Rhaburn Ridge on the Phillip Goldson Highway. Preliminary information indicates that there were no fatalities.” We understand that four persons were taken to hospital for treatment with varying injuries.
According to the company, its GPS data indicates that the towhead “was within the legal speed limit” at the time of the accident.
It adds that “the “safety and well-being of our [staff] members, customers and the public is our first priority and we will continue cooperating with the authorities to determine the details of this incident.”
Reports from the area say that a nurse that was traveling on the Enriquez bus at the time of the collision helped stabilize injured persons until other personnel arrived.
