Belmopan man arrested for drug trafficking

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested and charged a Belmopan resident after they found over 200 grams of marijuana in his house.

Around 10:15 a.m. on Monday, officers conducted a search at the home of 27-year-old Shakeel Savery, where they found a black plastic bag containing marijuana.

The bag was found to weigh 223 grams (just under half a pound).

Savery was charged with possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another.
