Posted: Saturday, August 6, 2022. 7:50 am CST.

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service projects sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. A few showers and thunderstorms will affect mainly central and northern areas today and the south tonight.

High temperatures will reach 87 degrees along the coast; 91 degrees in inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 80 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots; seas will be choppy to moderate with waves of three to six feet. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be low at 11:24 this morning and 10:17 tonight and high at 5:44 this evening. Sunset occurs at 6:23 this evening and sunrise on Sunday is at 5:33.

On Sunday, expect cloudy skies at times with a few showers or thunderstorms over most areas in the morning, downgraded to isolated showers except for the south the rest of the day.

Our thanks to forecaster Derrick Rudon at the Belize Weather Bureau, Ladyville.
