By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belize City Council (CitCo) announced this week that it has come to the end of the events planned on its summer calendar.
CitCo chronicled the activities on its official Facebook page which included the Youth Innovator Incubator Summer Program (Volleyball, Swimming, Basketball, Financial Literacy, Self Development, Steel Pan and Entrepreneurship), Back to School Edition Super Sale, Annual Cosmetology Workshop, Summer Work Program, Summer Movie Nights in the Park, Peewee Basketball Summer Camp, and the Summer Festival: A Night of Culture.
“It was a pleasure spending yet another summer with our residents and especially with our Belize City youths! The theme of this summer was safe spaces and so Mayor Bernard Wagner, Councillors, and the Belize City Council team worked to design programs and events geared towards promoting safe, inclusive, and resilient communities,” CitCo said.
The council went on to wish youths the best for the start of their new academic year, hoping that the knowledge and skills they learned over the course of the summer will assist them in achieving their goals in the upcoming school year and beyond.
