Lord’s Bank man arrested and charged as crackdown on gang affiliation continues

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested a Lord’s Bank resident in an ongoing crackdown on gang affiliation.

Today, officers arrested and charged 31-year-old Gildon Gilroy Rivers for the crime of “Being a member of a gang.”

The police department has been aggressively pursuing known gang affiliates since February, due to a spike in violent crime in Belize City that resulted in several murders and shooting incidents. Last week alone, there were six such arrests; all of whom were Belize City men.
