Investment Policy and Compliance officer, Amina Bejos to participate in SME workshop in Taiwan

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Thursday, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize David Kuan-Chou Chien met Amina Barbra Lizette Bejos, the Investment Policy and Compliance Officer of the  Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment of Belize.

Bejos will depart for Taiwan to participate in the “Workshop on Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) Development Policy”, at the invitation of TaiwanICDF.

Through this program, Bejos will learn more about digital technology applied by Taiwan SMEs to upgrade operations and make cross-innovations, Taiwan government’s policy in enhancing the digital transformation of SMEs and developing innovative business models.

“The Embassy wishes her a safe trip and fruitful learning experience in Taiwan,” a statement from the Taiwan Embassy in Belize said.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the economy and play a crucial role in national development.

“The Embassy looks forward to continuing to work with the Government of Belize to revitalize the MSMEs in the post-pandemic era and enhance the benefits of our two peoples,” the Embassy added.
