By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The 10 Belizean students participating in the 2022 Youth Ambassador Program returned home today.
The students participated in a 2-week youth leadership exchange in the United States.
“These inspiring high schoolers explored leadership and civic engagement while learning how to create their own home-grown community service projects. We are happy to see these future young leaders returning to Belize with even greater confidence and motivation to make a positive impact in their communities,” the U.S. Embassy said.
The Youth Ambassadors Program is a U.S. State Department program that brings together high school students and adult mentors from countries across the Americas to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership skills, and prepare youth to make a difference in their communities.
