By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Coast Guard assisted in repairing the roof and ceiling at Queen Square Anglican Primary School in Belize City.

Queen Square Anglican said that the roofs of two school buildings and of the students’ bathroom got damaged by Hurricane Lisa and had called for help. They also said that a section of the school’s fence had been blown down and one verandah was compromised.

On Thursday, the Coast Guard said that they had assisted Queen Square Anglican.

“Our engineers did an excellent job replacing the roof and ceiling at the Queen Square Primary School,” said the Coast Guard.

“This is a very talented section in the Belize Coast Guard that has been taking on very important engineering work that falls below our operational radar but makes significant contributions to our facilities.  Proud that we can make a direct contribution to the education sector.”

Queen Square Anglican Primary School is one of the leading primary schools in Belize City.
