2022 FIFA World Cup: Brazil headline today’s action in the Round of 16 against South Korea

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Brazil against South Korea is the Round of 16 game that most fans around the world are waiting for today. The La Verde Amarelha take on the Asian side at the Stadium 974 in Doha at 1:00 pm.

Brazilian star player Neymar is expected back in the lineup today. The Brazilian playmaker, who suffered an ankle injury in the second half of the first match against Serbia on Thursday, November 24 and was sidelined for the next two games, trained with the team for the first time on Monday.

Brazil topped in Group G with two wins and an unexpected loss to Cameroon (fielding their bench) while South Korea qualified behind Portugal in Group H but beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s side in their last match.

Before Brazil play in the afternoon, the first match on Monday features Japan and Croatia @ 9:00 am at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah. Japan shocked two World Champions, Germany and Spain, and topped Group E to reach the quarterfinals. 2018 Subchampions Croatia suffered but qualified second with a win and two draws behind Mororcco in Group F.
