Belize Weather: Sunshine and showers mixed entering weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: As relatively moist and unstable conditions linger, the National Meteorological Service today forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells and cloudy skies at times tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms are to affect coastal areas this morning, move inland this afternoon and mainly the north tonight.

High temperatures peak at 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 89 degrees over inland areas and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 77 degrees along the coast, 71 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. Seas remain moderate to rough with a small craft caution for gusty winds and occasionally rough seas near showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be high at 11:19 this morning and 10:16 this evening, and low at a quarter past four this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:18 this evening and rises at 6:11 Saturday morning.

Expect a few showers countrywide on Saturday, decreasing Saturday night.
