Belize Tourism Board supports Autism Belize’s workshop

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) extended financial support to a Christmas Workshop held on December 17, 2022, for children with disabilities. 

The workshop was coordinated by Payal Chulani and a team of volunteers from One Smile at a Time in collaboration with Autism Belize.

Twenty-two children and youths up to age 15 from Orange Walk, Belize City, and Cayo participated in the workshop which included interactive activities for the participants and sensitivity training for the volunteers at Camp Se Konsa in Cayo.

Evan Tillett, Director of Tourism presented the donation of $2,000 to Christy Almeida, Founder and Executive Chair of Autism Belize.

The donation assisted with the expenses incurred in organizing the event.
