Two women held up in San Ignacio Town on their way home

By Aaron Humes: Police are looking for three machete-wielding men who picked on two young women walking home on Monday night and robbed them of their belongings.

According to the two women, they were on Trench Town Road in San Ignacio Town at about 7:30 on Monday night when the men held them up.

One of the women reported that one of the culprits grabbed her from behind and placed a machete on her neck. The culprits then stole her black iPhone 11pro valued at $3,000, along with her Atlantic Bank ATM card, and other personal effects. The other woman said the men stole her Motorola phone valued at $350, a gold chain valued at $500, an Atlantic Bank Debit card, and two $20 bills.

Police are investigating.
