International News: South Korea’s Presidential aide visits Belize, Panama, El Salvador for 2030 World Expo bid

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Earlier this month, Jang Sung-min South Korean presidential aide visited Belize, Panama and El Salvador to ramp up support for the country’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo.

Between January 3 and 10, 2023, Jang visited the Central American countries to make a pitch for South Korea’s bid to host the event in the southeastern city of Busan.

Jang met with Belize’s Prime Minister John Briceño and El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele.

Jang shared the message from President Yoon Suk Yeol to strengthen cooperation in the areas of trade, climate change, education and others, Seoul’s foreign ministry said.
