International News: NATO vigilant following incidents with balloons over U.S.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg says that NATO needs to be vigilant since incidents regarding balloons over U.S. airspace form part of a pattern, Reuters report.

“What we saw over the United States is part of a pattern where China and also Russia are increasing surveillance activities on NATO allies,” Stoltenberg said.

The security alliance which includes 30 countries from North America and Europe said there is now increased vigilance.

On Sunday, the U.S. shot down another object over Lake Huron, U.S. officials said.

It was the 4^th object in U.S. airspace to be shot down in a little more than a week.
