Homeless man fined $80 for crack pipe

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A man who says he is homeless was fined in court this week for possession of a crack pipe.

Forty-four-year-old Brian Enriquez appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, charged with possession of utensils for the purpose of smoking drugs.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $75 plus $5 cost of court which he must pay by April 6 or he will spend one month in prison for default.

Police found him with a metal pipe measuring 2 3/4 inches adapted for the purpose of smoking drugs on Wednesday, February 15.
