Belize Weather: Hot start to holiday weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Dry and warm conditions prevail today according to the National Meteorological Service; it will be sunny and hot in the daytime and mostly clear tonight with no rain in the forecast.

High temperatures peak at 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 98 degrees over inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills. Low temperatures tonight dip to 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds start southeasterly at 15 to 25 knots with higher gusts, decreasing to ten to 20 knots. Sea conditions will be moderate to rough; a small craft warning remains in effect for this morning and small craft should stay in safe harbour.

Tides will be high at a quarter to nine this morning and 7:47 this evening with a low at 1:26 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:59 this evening and rises at 6:09 Saturday morning.

Weather continues Fair, warm and dry on Saturday.
