Salvadoran national dies in freak accident at sea

By Aaron Humes: Reports from Caye Caulker, Belize District, are that a Salvadoran national died unexpectedly while at sea on Saturday.

Police tell us that the individual was in a boat travelling when it apparently hit something in the water. The man came into contact with the boat’s propeller which severely cut his right leg, apparently causing him to bleed to death inside the boat.

Investigations by police are underway and we hope to have more details as they become available.
