San Pedro Tiger Sharks dump Belmopan Red Taigaz 103-88 in the Capital in Belize Elite Basketball League

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: San Pedro Tiger Sharks finally won two-in-a row thumping the Belmopan Red Taigaz by 15, 103-88, at the UB Gymnasium in Garden City at the beginning the second round of the Belize Elite Basketball League.

The Tiger Sharks were led by Kyle Steward and Francis Arana. Steward accounted for 23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block. Arana had a great night with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists, and 4 steals. Jamaal Clifton tabulated 18 points and 8 rebounds while Kyle Young added 15 points plus 10 rebounds. John Kelly added 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Jeremiah Toney fronted for the Red Taigaz with a game-high 29 points complemented with 9 rebounds and 1 steal. Benjamin Page kept pace pumping in 27 points with 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Brandon Flowers contributed 10 rebounds and 4 points. Lisannie Lambey scored 8 points to go with 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.

The Tiger Sharks moved up to a 3-4 win-loss record, same as the Red Taigaz. Both moved ahead of the Western Ballaz who fell to 3-5 with their Friday night loss to the Orange Walk Running Rebels.
