What led Mark Luis Castellanos to allegedly kill Julian Villanueva?

By Aaron Humes: Police say they know who stabbed Julian Villanueva, 51, to death early on Friday morning in the Red Creek area of Santa Elena Town, Cayo District, and have charged him.

But what they don’t know yet despite a swift arrest, is why.

As detailed by ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Director, Belize Police Department, “The investigators gathered certain information and at the end of the investigation, they had enough information to arrest and charge Mark Louis Castellanos, 27, of Santa Elena for the murder [of] Villanueva.”

Police have no motive thus far; neither can they ascertain whether the men knew each other prior to the incident. Investigations into that aspect continue.
