John Cus gets eight years in prison for rape

By Breaking Belize News Staff: San Pedro resident John Cuz wil be spending the next eight years of his life as a Hattiville resident, after being sentenced to eight years at the Belize Central Prison for a charge of rape.

Cus, 43, was sentenced today in the High Court of Belize by Justice Antoinette Moore in relation to the incident which occurred back in 2018.

The 25-year-old victim testified that she woke up to Cus, the caretaker of the motel she was staying at, on top of her in the early morning hours.

He was found guilty of rape on March 31, 2023.
