Belize lose 3-0 to Costa Rica, play Guatemala on Sunday for 7th place in U21 Women NORCECA Pan Am Volleyball Cup

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize lost 0-3 (20-25, 17-25, 20-25) to Costa Rica on Saturday in the Classification 5-8 ranking games in the U21 Women’s NORCECA Pan American Volleyball Cup in Nogales, Mexico. That loss sets up Belize to close the tournament on Sunday against Guatemala for seventh place. Guatemala lost 1-3 (17-25, 14-25, 25-21, 9-25) to Puerto Rico in the other Classification game.

The seventh-place game between Belize and Guatemala starts at 2:00 pm (3:00 pm Bze Time).

Costa Rica will face Puerto Rico for fifth place at 4:00 pm.

The United States beat Cuba 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-20) in the semifinals and will play Mexico in the final at 8:00 pm. Mexico triumphed over the Dominican Republic 3-1 (36-24, 25-21, 24-36, 25-17).

Cuba will play the Dominican Republic for third place at 6:00 pm.
