By Rubén Morales Iglesias: What should you do or who should you call if honey bees settle in your backyard in Cayo? Well, call the Canaan Livestock and Farmers Association (CLFA).

“Honey bees are essential for our survival. If they stop to rest at your house, garden or park, please don’t destroy them. Call us, we will take care of them (Cayo area). 620-4164 / 632-2390 / 660-7751,” the Canaan Livestock and Farmers Association said in a social media post.

According to the CLFA, honey bees migrate before the rainy season looking for a place to store their food. So, the CLFA advises that if they spring up in your area, not to destroy them because they are essential for pollination and in the long run for mankind’s survival.
