By Rubén Morales Iglesias: FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Verdes on winning the 2022-23 Premier League of Belize Closing Championship

The message came in a letter sent to the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) President Sergio Chuc on Wednesday, June 21.

“It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Verdes FC for having been crowned champions of the closing season of the 20/22/23 Premier League of Belize!” Infantino said in the letter FFB President Chuc.

“This title could not have been achieved without the entire team’s hard work, passion and dedication and everyone at the club can be very proud. Please extend my congratulations to everybody involved in this great achievement.”

Infantino also commended Chuc for his involvement in Belize’s football development.

“On behalf of the entire football community, I also take this opportunity to thank you and your Federation for your contribution to the development and prosperity of football in Belize and in your region. I look forward to seeing you again soon,” Infantino said.

Infantino visited Belize last year and met with Chuc and the football community at the FFB Headquarters in Belmopan.
