Weather experts monitoring Tropical Storm Don and Invest 95L in the Atlantic

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Weather experts at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Don and Invest 95L in the Atlantic.

As of this morning, Don was located some 1045 miles west of the Azores.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.

Little change in strength is forecast during the next couple of days.

Don is forecast to weaken this weekend.

Meanwhile, Invest 95L is a small area of low pressure, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.

This system is producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the central tropical Atlantic.

Environmental conditions appear generally conducive for some gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression could form in the next several days, as it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic.

This system has a 40% chance of formation through the next 7 days.
