Police suspect ‘business concerns’ may be behind execution of Ricardo Borja

By Aaron Humes: With the death of Salvadoran national Ricardo Borja on Saturday night, questions have arisen as to what his business may have had to do with his death.

Borja was shot dead inside his vehicle on Saturday night in front of his girlfriend as he parked in front of their apartment building behind Coney Drive.

Commissioner of Police Chester Williams indicated that Borja was involved in consultancy, real estate and other businesses and that issues he had run into have led to ‘negative’ things being said about him, but he added that police did not yet have a firm motive for his killing.

Borja was accused, but not convicted, of criminal fraud while he was a Sixth Form student and owned two firearms, but nothing indicates that anything was taken from Borja or his partner during the incident. Police investigations continue.
