Tropical Depression could form in Caribbean Sea as disturbance moves north

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Franklin and 3 more disturbances in the Atlantic.

In the Northwestern Caribbean Sea, a broad area of low pressure is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. 

A tropical depression could form late this weekend or early next week while moving generally northward over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and eastern Gulf of Mexico. 

This system has a 70% chance of formation through the next 7 days.
