Posted: Monday, August 28, 2023. 9:55 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Latest reports say Linsford McKenzie discharged himself from hospital hours after being shot on Sunday night during what is now reported to be an aggravated burglary at his house on Antelope Street Extension.

ACP Hilberto Romero gave details: “Around 7:40 p.m., police responded to a shooting at Antelope Street Extension area. Upon their arrival, they found Linsford McKenzie with a gunshot injury to the body. He was taken to the KHMH … Information is that he was at home along with two other persons when three male persons came to the house and a struggle ensued between them. One of the persons fired a single shot that caught him and he was also stabbed. The persons then fled from the area. We are seeking one suspect in regards to this shooting.”

ACP Romero further established that the intent was to rob McKenzie and his family of their personal belongings, but it was not said whether anything was actually taken. Police investigations continue.
