Prime Minister and World Wildlife Fund team discuss conservation goals

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  Today, Prime Minister John Briceño met with representatives of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Johan Bergenas – Senior VP, Oceans Conservation, Gabby Ahmadia – VP, Area Based Conservation, Oceans of WWF Headquarters and Osmany Salas of WWF Belize.

“An opportunity to discuss with our team from the Blue Bond Unit the Project Finance for Permanence (PFP) and the work to meet our collaborative goals,” the Prime Minister said.

WWF works to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon; transform markets and policies toward sustainability; and protect and restore species and their habitats.
