By Aaron Humes: A Belize City fisherman accused of burglarizing a woman’s home in the Buttonwood Bay area is out on bail after he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
26-year-old Byron Eddison Flowers from Consuelo Street, Belize City, is charged with trespassing into Jocelyn Young’s residence, intending to steal electronics and other items valued at $2,250.
In court, Flowers pleaded not guilty and was granted and met bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety with conditions attached.
Flowers must report to the Mahogany Street Police Station every Friday effective next week Friday, September 29; he is not to interfere with the virtual complainant or any of her family members whether directly or indirectly through any social media platform; he is on curfew and must be indoors by 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. daily, for the remainder of his case. The Senior Magistrate also told him that he is not to be arrested or charged with any other offenses while out on bail or his bail will be revoked. Flowers also must remain living at his presence address which he gave the court and he cannot move without first notifying the court of such changes.
Flowers met bail late Friday evening and is due back in court on October 10.
