Belize drops last game of Central American Championship to Nicaragua in three sets

By Aaron Humes: Belize’s Under-23 Men’s Volleyball Team will be denied a medal after a three-set defeat to Nicaragua in today’s opening match in Chiriqui, Panama.

The boys lost 25-13, 26-24, 25-20, and will likely finish behind champions-elect Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua in that order.

Nonetheless we say congratulations on a solid run that put them in position for a medal opportunity with defeats of hosts Panama and Honduras earlier this week along with Costa Rica to start the tournament.

Guatemala are playing Honduras now, and Panama tackle El Salvador to close the tournament with Costa Rica having completed their fixtures.
