Police recover abandoned Glock nine-millimeter, magazine, and silencer in St Martin’s

By Aaron Humes: Police have taken another dangerous weapon off the streets in the St Martin de Porres section of Belize City.

This morning around 11:40, police from Precinct Two searched an abandoned lot at the corner of Jasmine and Heart Streets.

The Glock nine-millimeter pistol was found in a yellow plastic bag inside a white bucket, a magazine, six live rounds of ammunition, and a mechanism resembling a silencer designed to hide the sound of the weapon when fired.

No one was found in the immediate area; as a result, the pistol and other items were escorted to Racoon Street Police Station to be deposited as found property.
