Belize Weather: Mix of sunshine and showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecast for today is for cloudy skies with sunny breaks. Tonight, skies will be cloudy. Outbreaks of showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms will develop mainly offshore and along coastal areas at first then spread to most areas by afternoon. Tonight, shower activity will redevelop mainly along coastal areas, becoming isolated by morning.

Average temperatures forecast today will be 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 88 degrees inland and 74 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 76 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 67 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be northerly to northwesterly at five to 15 knots, and sea state light chop to choppy.

Tides will be high at 11:50 this morning. A low tide follows at 4:38 this afternoon and a high tide at 10:39 this evening. The sun sets at 5:16 this evening and rises at 5:57 Thursday morning.

Outlook for Thursday and Thursday night is for fair weather with isolated showers.
