Belize City man hospitalized after late evening shooting in Faber’s Road area

By Aaron Humes: A shooting incident was reported this evening, Friday, in Belize City which has left one man injured and hospitalized.

The victim, identified as Jorge Lozano, 38, was shot multiple times to the body while on Madam Liz Avenue in the Fabers Road Extension area around six p.m. He is currently receiving treatment. Lozano is employed with the Leadership Intervention Unit (LIU).

The shots were said to have been fired from a small white color, license plate number unknown and containing a driver and a passenger, the latter of whom fired the shots.

The incident is now under investigation by police.
