By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The livestock industry in Belize is set to benefit from a new partnership among three key stakeholders: the Belize Livestock Producers Association, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security & Enterprise (MAFSE), and Reimers Feed Mill.
The Ministry of Agriculture said the partnership is expected to promote a more resilient, sustainable, and thriving livestock industry.
“This collaborative framework goes beyond resource-sharing; it emphasizes open communication, the exchange of best practices, and a unified approach to address challenges faced by the Livestock Industry,” MAFSE said.
“The goal is to establish a comprehensive and integrated strategy that benefits not only the individual entities involved but also the Livestock Industry at large.”
The Ministry of Agriculture said each partner will provide valuable contributions to the partnership: the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security & Enterprise will provide regulatory guidance and support, the Belize Livestock Producers Association will offer industry knowledge and advocacy, and Reimers Feed Mill will share their expertise in feed production.
