By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Albert Davis and Jennifer López won the 3rd Annual Victor Martin Valentine’s Day 15K Race on Sunday.
The 15K race started at 6:02 am at the BDF Price Barracks off the Philip Godson Highway and finished at the Freetown Reserve on Freetown Road, across from Atlantic Bank in Belize City.
The race, held in honour of the late runner Victor Martin, is organized annually by his family along with Freetown Reserve Promotions.
Albert Davis, the overall winner, won the Men’s Elite Category in 51 minutes, 30.89 seconds (0:51:30.89).
Jennifer López won the Women’s Elite Category in one hour, 12 minutes, and 52 seconds (1:12:52). Lopez was ninth overall across all seven categories.
The organizers had planned for eight categories but no one registered for the Women Junior Category.
