Police link murder on Burrell Boom Village Road to chopping incident after horse race

By Aaron Humes: Police sources have identified tonight’s murder victim as Malcolm Reynolds of Lemonal, Belize District.

Reynolds was found dead at the bus stop at the junction of the Burrell Boom Road and Philip Goldson Highway with a gunshot wound to the chest.

As police investigations continue into tonight’s murder in Burrell Boom Village, a potential motive has been established.

A chopping was reported following the Easter Monday horse race meet at Castleton Park in Burrell Boom, with tonight’s killing said to be targeted revenge. One person has been charged in that incident.
