Ronald Gibson succumbs to gunshot injuries in alleged attempted robbery in Belmopan

By Aaron Humes: According to PLUS TV, shortly before midnight on Tuesday, Belmopan resident Ronald Gibson died in hospital after receiving treatment for a gunshot injury that he sustained a few days ago.

Gibson was accused of attempting to rob Belmopan businesswoman Gilda Abadi on the Central Walkway near Independence Park.

Abadi reportedly pulled out her licensed firearm and shot Gibson in the stomach during the confrontation, fatally wounding him.

The matter remains under investigation by police.
