Haulover Bridge Replacement Project

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development & Housing advises the public of the temporary closure of the Haulover Bridge on the Philip Goldson Highway in Belize City that will take place late morning on Thursday 25 April 2024.

This scheduled temporary closure is necessary to facilitate safe access to the bridge for the official opening ceremony. The bridge will be closed to all vehicles for approximately 30 minutes at about 11 am. The public is advised to use the John Smith Road as an alternate entrance to Belize City.

As always, the public is asked to be vigilant and exercise caution while driving, please follow traffic warnings and the instructions of Transport and Police personnel.
