Villager shot by police to be charged with string of offenses

BBN Staff: On Saturday, police shot an Independence villager in the foot while responding to reports of an aggravated assault.

The villager, Rodwel Arzu, was reportedly resisting arrest and insulting cops although they tried to handle the matter peacefully.

Despite being shot, the villager allegedly continued to behave unruly.

One of his friends saw the commotion and encouraged him to comply with the officers.

He is now expected to face a string of charges including aggravated assault with a firearm, insulting words and resisting arrests.
