Dr. Candice Pitts to be endorsed for Mesop!

By BBN Staff: Belize City Councilor, Dr. Candice Pitts, is taking another challenge.

The politician and educator is being endorsed as the People’s United Party (PUP) standard-bearer in Mesopotamia.

Today at 6 p.m. that endorsement will take place at Independence Hall in Belize City.

Pitts posted to Facebook, “Thus far, 1 of 2 female candidates for my party, and perhaps 1 of 4 in Belize in general, to contest 31 seats in the next general election. Not an easy feat; not an insignificant deal.”

She says it is no coincidence that her endorsement takes place on Emancipation Day.

Dr. Pitts will challenge Music Ambassador, Shyne Barrow, who is to succeed his uncle, Michael Finnegan.
