Police investigate murder in San Ignacio

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a shooting incident that claimed the life of a man and injured another in San Ignacio last night.

Authorities responded to the scene just after 9:25 last night in TrenchTown, San Ignacio.

Reports are that Joshua Villas and his wife, Cindy Canche were in their bed when they heard someone call out for Villas.

Villas reportedly went to the door and that was when Canche heard gunshots rang out.

Villas was shot and killed.

Villas’ neighbor, Anthony Tzul was also shot multiple times and was transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital last night for medical treatment.

An investigation is ongoing.
