Weather: Cold front settles in, bringing showers

Relatively moist conditions are to prevail according to the National Meteorological Service, supporting cloudy skies at times with a few showers and periods of rain, mostly offshore, and then developing over the south later today into tonight.

High temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 86 degrees in the interior and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight, expect average temperatures of 72 degrees along the coast; 68 degrees inland and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northwest at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is light chop.

Tides will be high at 6:20 this morning and 4:55 this evening and low at 10:18 this morning. The rose at 6:06 a.m. and sets at exactly 6 p.m.

The extended outlook calls for variably cloudy conditions with a few showers and periods of rain developing mainly over the south and over some coastal and offshore areas on Monday and Monday night.
