Police investigate murder in Belize City

Tuesday, September 23, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting:  One man is in police custody pending investigation of a murder on the eve of Independence Day in Belize City.

38 year old Glenmore Stevens was shot and killed on Saturday night as he walked on Raleigh Street in Belize City.

Police say that their initial investigations revealed that Stevens was approached by a dark complexion man who fired several shots, fatally wounding Stevens.

Police say they have recovered a total of ten 9 millimeter shells from the scene of the crime.
