Rainy conditions are expected for the next couple days

Wednesday, June 24^th, 2015. BMG: Today and in the days ahead, the country will be experiencing relatively rainy conditions across the coast and inland.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting that moist and unstable conditions will dominate our weather for the next couple days. Mainly cloudy skies with some showers and a few thunderstorms, especially along the coast will prevail today.

Winds today will be blowing to the East-North East at 10 to 20 knots, becoming gusty due to the heavy showers and thunderstorms. The sea state will be choppy but becoming locally rough at times. Small craft caution should be exercised.

High temperatures today are expected around 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 88 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 78 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

A high tide is expected this afternoon at 3:22 p.m and a low tide tonight at 10:23 p.m. The Sun sets at 6:30pm and will rise at 5:20am Thursday morning.

The extended forecast through Thursday calls for some cloudy spells with a few showers and thunderstorms over most areas.
