Firearm recovered in drug search

Tuesday, September 1, 2015.  BMG: An anti-drug operation conducted by police in Rhaburn Ridge Village, Belize District, yesterday, August 31, resulted not in the discovery of drugs, but in the finding of a 12 gauge shotgun instead.

Between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:10 p.m., officers searched some bushes and found the firearm, which was then sealed and labelled as “Found Property” since no one was in the immediate area at the time.
