By BMG Staff: Earlier today, at around 11:20 a.m., Placencia Police’s Quick Response Team were alerted by security officers near the Placencia hotel that a handgun was found on the beach.
Police visited the area and saw a black handled Taurus brand .38 revolver which had signs of corrosion on it.
The firearm was retrieved and taken to the police station where it was labelled as “found property”.
