Punta Gorda residents alert following early morning robbery

By Aaron Humes: There was an armed robbery of Brads Store located on Main Middle Street in Punta Gorda Town this morning.

Information to BMG is that two armed, masked suspects robbed the store and got away just before 8 in the morning.

Police issued an advisory shortly after the incident on local radio, advising residents to be careful while traveling in town as they chased down the suspects. No further details were forthcoming at news time today.
