Mid-afternoon fire guts two buildings in Santa Elena, Cayo

By BBN Staff: Yesterday around 1:45pm, San Ignacio Police received information of a house fire at # 25 George Price Boulevard, Santa Elena Town.

Police saw a two story building measuring about 20 feet by 30 feet engulfed in flames.

George Vasquez reported  that yesterday while at home he observed the lower flat of the building was on fire which was completely destroyed with items and damages total $25,000.00 and building not insured.

The fire spread to an adjacent two story green   concrete   building   measuring   20   feet   by   40   feet belonging   to   Elsa Vasquez and destroying the upper flat occupied by Denrick Vasquez.

The upper flat was completely destroyed with its   content  valuing $60,000   building   not   insured   and   the   cause   of   fire   yet   to   be ascertained.
